![]() ![]() Its very difficult to familiarize yourself with the layout without a map, and it makes it even harder to complete quests not knowing where NPCs are located or even where their houses are. This is an issue for many reasons, one being the fact that the world in Sun Haven is quite large- larger than Stardew. There is no map in the game at all- no minimap or full map in your menu. No Map -Besides the pausing issue, there are other major issues that seriously affect the playability of the game. The devs did end up adding the pause feature when opening the menu, but this does not fix the rushed dialogue, shopping, or cut scene aspect. Even if there was no way to manually pause the game, how did they think it was a good idea to let time progress during NPC dialogue, shopping, and cut scenes? Now players feel rushed to get through dialogue and buying items in the fear that the day is ticking away, and if its later at night you can even pass out doing so. However, pausing a game, even a slow-paced RPG, is crucial for people who need to look away from their device for whatever the reason may be. The devs said that because the game “feels so relaxed” and “days are so long” that there was no need for a pause feature. In the discord with the devs, people began voicing their concerns with this almost immediately. Opening the inventory/menu did not pause the game, talking to NPCs did not pause it, buying items didn’t pause it, and cut scenes didn’t pause time either. No Pausing -Initially, there was no pausing the game at all. ![]() Even ignoring this, there are crucial elements of gameplay and mechanics that just aren’t present at all. Even in character creation, some of the races are missing entirely and customizations felt seriously lacking. Review: I downloaded this game the very minute it was released and could tell almost immediately that this game is nowhere near finished and is missing so much of what was promised. The devs promised that the early access label was something they decided to add on last minute, that no major game elements were changed or delayed due to this label- just that they want fans to know they will continue adding even more later game content and additional story. However, the initial release was postponed, and the delayed release was then changed to early access. With their amazing success on Kickstarter and a huge fan base already built before the game even released, the hype for Sun Haven was pretty massive.Īfter the Kickstarter campaign was fully funded (and plenty more was raised), the devs began to tease some amazing gameplay elements, characters, and story lines. As a Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, and general RPG lover- this game seemed to have everything I could have ever wanted and more- a classic farming sim with a magical adventure twist. Backstory: Sun Haven is a game that I have been looking forward to for months. ![]()

![]() ![]() An all-too common curse of Early Access-developed games, Torchlight III is a game that’s clearly spent too long being iterated for people who’ve already played Torchlight III. What’s surprised me most, beyond the lack of imagination that’s gone into advancing the formula, is just how poor the opening to the game is. Meanwhile we live in the timeline where Torchlight III is some more Torchlight, but you have a fort for no reason. In an alternative timeline there’s a version of Torchlight III that’s inspired by the decade of roguelites that have dominated PC gaming, that has learned lessons from the evolution of the ARPG and the massive breadth of a genre that spans from Dark Souls to Hades, and brings in the best of these new ideas to a solid core action role-player. And one that is, tragically, driven only by a failed desire to be a gaming format that had already had its time ten years back. ![]() Which brings us to… oh, yeah, another single-player Torchlight game. ![]() That left only Max Schaefer of the original Diablo team still interested in realising this dream, and so Perfect World-owned Echtra Games was formed by him and some Runic colleagues. Then with Perfect World investing to finally have that MMO realised, well, two of the company’s founders left and Runic made Hob as their final game instead. Then Torchlight II came out, and was, er, a test for that future, they claimed. The original game by Runic was supposed to be the precursor to an online multiplayer world. The Torchlight series, originally created by the founders of Diablo and Fate, has always been plagued by the same failed ambition to become an MMO. It’s in playing T元 that I’ve finally realised what it is: it’s the last decade of gaming. While the game had been well loved on its release, including by me, something was wrong. I recently replayed Torchlight II, and found myself embroiled in a confusion of ennui. Torchlight III (T元) feels an awful lot like 2012’s Torchlight II, except massively spaced out, featuring the corner-cuttingiest static cutscenes of all time, with a bunch of leftover F2P ideas that don’t seem to do anything any more. To see this content please enable targeting cookies.īecause despite its Damascene moment, it doesn’t feel like it ever quite shook off its Sauline roots. If I didn’t already know the path it had taken, I’d have spent my entire time playing the game being gnawed at by wondering just what it was that made it all feel so off. Torchlight III feels an awful lot like what it is: a free-to-play multiplayer game that thought better of itself, and decided to become a proper full-price microtransaction-free primarily solo release. One is "This should be fun." The other is "Let's make it interesting." I couldn't help but hear both as the ignored voice of a quiet developer at the back of a Torchlight III planning meeting. Torchlight 3 is an action RPG haunted by the ghost of the F2P game it almost was, and lacks any clear idea of what game it actually wants to be.Īt the end of the first of three acts in Torchlight III, there's a boss character who repeats two of the same barks over and over. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hepatitis/Hepatitis Exposure: Donor is deferred for 12 months after hepatitis B or hepatitis C exposure.Heart Attack: Further evaluation is needed.Gonorrhea: Donor is deferred for 3 months after date of last treatment.Dental Work: Donors are eligible to donate following routine dental work.Diabetes: Donors with diabetes (type I or II) are eligible to donate.COVID19- Donors are eligible 10 days after the resolution of symptoms OR a positive test if remained asymptomatic (no symptoms).Colds: Donors are not eligible if they are not feeling well and healthy the day of donation. There is a permanent deferral for donors with a history of: Carcinoma-in-situ or Dysplasia of the cervix or breast, if treated or completely removed and healed. There is no deferral period for donors with a history of: Cancer: Donors with a history of most types of cancer are eligible to donate 1 year from the date of their last treatment.Antibiotics: Donors are deferred for 24 hours after their final dose.Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and no more than 350 poundsĬovid-19 and Flu vaccines and Boosters require NO WAITING period to donate as long as you are feeling well and healthy.Donors must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 with parental consent (PDF: 16-year-old parental consent form).Donors must be in good health and feel well the day of their donation.Donors must complete a questionnaire, which includes health and lifestyle questions, at their blood donation appointment to determine eligibility.
